Lion Quays
The Waterside Bar was opened in August 2003. It's on the site of the old Lion Inn just outside Weston Rhyn on the A5. The pub is part of a sprawling complex of hotel and spa, and it's nicely situated next to the Llangollen Canal - it even has it's own mooring for 20 narrow boats. Food served. Accommodation. The Stonehouse Cambrian Gold and Station Bitter were well kept, but a bit pricey. The pub itself is comfortable and nicely appointed. Large car park. Free Wi-Fi. Tel - 01691 684300 Visited Jun 2018. The Lodge

Re-opened again in 2019 and thankfully the new owners have concentrated on the pub side of the business so the Indian restaurant has gone. Just a single real ale on. Car park. Occasional live music. Situated just off the island near the church on Vicarage Road. Tel - 1691 778551. Visited Aug 2019
