Lion Quays

The Waterside Bar was opened in August 2003. It's on the site of the old Lion Inn just outside Weston Rhyn on the A5. The pub is part of a sprawling complex of hotel and spa, and it's nicely situated next to the Llangollen Canal - it even has it's own mooring for 20 narrow boats. Food served. Accommodation. The Stonehouse Cambrian Gold and Station Bitter were well kept, but a bit pricey. Large car park. Free Wi-Fi. There's even a peacock roaming outside. Tel - 01691 684300 Visited Apr 2013. Pub website

The Lodge

Banks's beers were available and they were well kept. Loungs and bar but the lounge was closed off the nigh twe visited. The music was a bit loud, fine if you like that sort of thing. Pool table and darts are on offer. Car park. Visited Feb 2012  Pub website
Banks's Bitter
Banks's Original
Readers comment - Visited on a Friday night and it was fairly busy, especially bearing in mind there was a 'to let' sign on the pub. Standard Banks's offering Bitter and Original - July 2010

The Plough

The guest beer was Pacific Gem from Marstons - quite tasty but served a bit cold. The pool table takes pride of place in the bar. There's a lounge as well. Food served including cheap burgers. Darts. Car park. Bit of a beer garden outside. As uausla the music was cranked uo a bit loud on our last visit. Situated on Station Road next to the level crossing. Tel - 01691 772536.
